Walter F. Benson, Esq.
Walter Benson joined the Lynn Law Firm in July 2001, bringing with him extensive personal injury experience, gained throughout New York State—including the New York City Metropolitan Area, the Southern Tier, and Central, Western, and Northern New York. He has more than 25 years of courtroom experience, devoted exclusively to pursuing claims on behalf of personal injury accident victims.
A man of integrity and compassion, Mr. Benson speaks to jurors’ minds and sense of justice, and they listen. His reputation and results are such that attorney and former client referrals account for the majority of his pending cases.
A graduate of St. John’s University School of Law (J.D. 1981) and LeMoyne College (B.A. 1978), Mr. Benson’s legal career began at the New York City Corporation Counsel defending the City of New York. He rose to the level of Senior Trial Attorney in the Special Trial Unit, responsible for handling the highest exposure cases (catastrophic injuries; death; and extensive media publicity cases involving police shootings, civil rights claims, police chases, medical malpractice, and grievous personal injuries). In 1985, he joined Queller & Fisher, where he devoted himself to litigation of plaintiff’s personal injury claims.
In 1998, Mr. Benson opened a law office in Elbridge, NY to serve the Central New York community. He has been a guest lecturer for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Bar Association. Currently, Mr. Benson is the Chair of the Board of Trustees for LeMoyne College.
