Kelsey W. Shannon, Esq.

Kelsey Shannon is a trial attorney with the Lynn Law Firm.  Since joining the Lynn Law Firm, Kelsey has recovered tens of millions of dollars for policyholders in insurance disputes and injured plaintiffs through trials and settlements.

Kelsey joined the Lynn Law Firm in 2017 from the United States Department of Justice, where he represented the United States as a trial attorney in high-profile civil disputes and trials. Before joining the Justice Department, Kelsey spent several years at two leading international law firms in the District of Columbia, handling complex commercial, criminal, and regulatory disputes.

Kelsey is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Georgetown University. He has represented clients in courts throughout the country, including in Florida, California, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Virginia. While at the Department of Justice, Kelsey received the John Marshall Award for Trial of Litigation, the Department’s highest attorney award, and an Assistant Attorney General Award. In 2019, he was awarded the Sheldon Hurwitz Award by the New York State Bar Association for his work in the insurance field. He has published widely on issues including insurance, civil litigation, trial practice, and antitrust.
